Tablets are the most common form of oral medication. Though in recent
years we have witnessed significant improvements in both tablet production machinery and quality control systems, the modern tablet production process still has some challenges to surpass for providing perfect, defect-free tablets.

The main cause of defects are mainly poorly finished dies or shape of punches, i.e. deep concavity or bevelled-edge of the punch.

The dimensions of these dies and punches are of utmost importance as these are directly proportional to the volume of drug they are going to carry. For the very purpose, we use LVDT and electronics for precision measurements.
